I’m excited to announce that I am now on Substack, writing about Bad Mothers. Those of you who keep up with my book blogging know that this is the topic I cover most: mothers who don’t want to be mothers, childless women who buck the norm, mothers who smother, mothers who don’t, mothers who work outside the home, mothers who work at home. I hope it’s clear that the term “bad” is used tongue in cheek.
I plan to continue writing short book reviews on this topic, as well as other cultural commentary. In addition, I’ll be writing more of my own essays and short stories, all around the topic of Bad Mothers. Moving forward I don’t expect to share much on this blog space, but I hope you’ll consider subscribing to Bad Mothers.
My first few posts are already up, including an essay on why I started Bad Mothers in the first place. I’d love to hear what you think and if these ideas resonate with you.
